Industry Jury
The top scripts will be considered by our industry jury. Past finalists have been signed or attached producers from the exposure from the jury alone.
The Jury
Scott Carr – Literary Manager
Scott Carr is the principal literary manager at Management SGC. He has a history of working hard with his clients to sell their specs, get them staffed, and land them open writing assignments. He’s successfully worked with young writers to see their work realized, like with MISS SLOANE starring Jessica Chastain.
Juliet Berman – Head of Development
Juliet Berman oversees the development and packaging of the Treehouse Pictures slate. Credits at Treehouse include Producer of SET IT UP, released on Netflix last year, Executive Producer on SAND CASTLE also for Netflix, with Nicholas Hoult and Henry Cavill starring, Co-producer on MEDITERRANEA, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015, and Associate Producer on THAT AWKWARD MOMENT and ADULT WORLD.
Melissa Azizi – Producer
Melissa Azizi is an executive at SparkWood Picture and formerly an executive at Pretty Pictures (THE DANISH GIRL, KINSEY). Melissa was on the WeScreenplay Feature Jury last year and is currently producing the 2nd place winner’s work!
Brian Goldberg – Agent
Brian Goldberg works as a literary agent at Worldwide Production Agency – WPA. WPA clients have been involved with projects like IT: CHAPTER TWO, RIOT GIRLS, and AMERICAN HORROR STORY.

Prizes
WeScreenplay as part of The WeScreenplay Feature Competition is giving away cash and prizes, including a $1,000 cash grand prize, but most importantly the top scripts will be considered by our industry jury which includes Hollywood producers, agents, and managers. Plus, every entrant receives free feedback on their project to help improve their writing.
Past WeScreenplay winners have optioned their projects, developed work with producers, and been signed by places like Heroes and Villains, Industry Entertainment, Zero Gravity, and more.
