2017 Diverse Voices TV Pilot Winner Natasha Hall recently signed with Industry Entertainment. Her script Phoenix is about an out-of-commission forensic psychiatrist and a connection-phobic novice that must work together to determine their clients’ true intentions while battling their own demons.
Natasha joins the list of WeScreenplay contest winners that have been signed, and she definitely won’t be the last. Congratulations to Natasha and her screenwriting hustle. She’s come a long way from wanting to rewrite the ending to Dawson’s Creek, which, she claims, is the moment she realized she wanted to be a storyteller.
Think you have what it takes to be a Diverse Voices winner? Enter now, before April 15th!
Diverse Voices strives to provide a contest that is purely focused on promoting and encouraging diverse voices in Hollywood. The contest encourages stories that are told from perspectives that are often underrepresented in Hollywood today — according to the WGA diversity report that is writers of color, women writers, and writers over the age of 40. We’d also love to see stories from the perspective of writers with disabilities, writers in the LGBTQ+ community, and any other voice that is currently underrepresented in Hollywood today.
